(20 June 2025, Casiguran) — To elevate its digital presence and enhance its public communication efforts, the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO) on June 16, 2025 concluded a successful photo and video documentation workshop for its staff across various divisions. The initiative aimed to improve the quality, consistency, and creativity of visual content shared on APECO’s social media platforms.
The workshop provided employees with essential skills in photography and videography, including composition, lighting, framing, and shot planning—focusing on techniques tailored for digital storytelling. Beyond the technical aspects, the training also covered a live simulation where participating employees used their newly gained knowledge in documenting a practice event.
“As part of the transformative governance we are instilling in APECO with the leadership of President and CEO Atty. Gil G. Taway IV, each of us plays a key role in telling APECO’s story — not just externally to investors and stakeholders, but internally, through clear, consistent, and well-organized documentation,” Mr. Ferrer said. “This training is not just about learning tools and templates. It’s about instilling a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuity.”
One of the key outcomes of the workshop was the establishment of internal documentation guidelines, helping standardize the way APECO captures and shares its activities. This milestone strengthens the agency’s capacity to represent the full scope of its operations, from major infrastructure initiatives to community engagements and collaborative efforts across all departments.
Through this initiative, APECO has taken a meaningful step in building a stronger and more unified online identity.
